The project is a part of a research program focused on Post-Traumatic Disorder conducted in the Unit 1077 directed by Francis Eustache.

 

The candidate will conduct analysis of eye-tracking data collected during social cognition tasks (Emotion recognition from facial expressions and gaze direction detection) proposed to participant exposed or not to traumatic events (attacks of November 13th, 2015 in Paris) in a biomedical study named "Remember" performed on 180 participants.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in cognitive neuroscience or a related field, who have a strong motivation to pursue a scientific career. Experience with eye-tracking and pupillometry data analyses is needed. Strong programming skills are highly desirable, as is a background regarding the cognitive consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder and/or attention, perception and/or social cognition research.

 

Salary: around 2000 euros / month (net)

 

Duration: one year, starting in January 2018

Requirements

·         A PhD in a relevant area of neuroscience/cognitive psychology or a related field

·         PhD not obtained in a Normandy university (Caen or Rouen)

·         Less than 35 years old by December 31, 2017

·         Previous experience with eye-tracking and analysis

·         Good organizational and planning skills

·         Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

·         Fluent in written and spoken French and/or English
